I've been getting into Private Eye recently just because it seems to make depressing news funny. However, this week's issue has a column called "Difficulty Transitions" in which the whole article seems to be pro Gender Critical, and... wow. What a crap article.

Bigot: “God doesn’t make mistakes so if you’re born a man you’re a man and that’s all there is to it.”

Me: “Ok… So like if you get cancer then, that’s not bad luck etc, but is God’s will for you because God doesn’t make mistakes, and thus we shouldn’t give you any medical help because you’ve got cancer and that’s all there is to it?”

Bigot: “That’s different.”

Me: “cool, cool”.

A friend just calls me to relay a real world every day experience.

Cis female, in London. Covent Garden.

Queuing for the loo.

Male attendant. Keeps going in to the ladies to check for free loos & keep them clean.

Meanwhile a guy with 2 young female kids decides he’s not waiting in the queue for them to use the loo when the gents has no queue. Off they go to the gents.

Guess how many women are objecting to either scenario. Zero. That’s right. Zero.

What’s the problem again?

Euch, the Labour government are totally pushing the lie that the Supreme Court has just ruled on the definitive definition of "woman".

That is not what happened.

The Supreme Court interpreted the Equality Act of 2010, and ruled on what they thought was meant by "woman" in that act.

Any sane progressive party would go "Oh no! That's not at all what we meant! The courts have misunderstood! Let's legislate to fix that!"

But we don't have a progressive government...

Hey lovelies :FediverseSymbol:

Which microblogging instances would you recommend to trans people in the UK looking to join the fediverse and why?

We're out of the loop on the best ones to recommend to Redditers looking for an alternative place to post, chat, and befriend people.

Must have strong rules against bigotry and ideally a large UK trans base :TransHeart:
