March 31st, International Transgender Day of Visibility, inspired a mix for those who transcend labels and limits. Deep Transcendence is more than trance; it's a vibe, a celebration, and a journey. It's an ode to those who embrace who they are. Made with my love. Feel your own vibe and share it. 🏳️‍⚧️

"You listened to my child and called them by the name they asked you to! You broke the law and I am getting you fired from your job!"

This level of extremist control and power manipulation is incomprehensible. This level of hateful parenting and hatred of your own children and who they are, is incomprehensible.

Knowing that our Premier in Alberta, Danielle Smith, not only praised this legislation in Florida, told us how she "greatly admired" governor Ron DeSantis for his "Don't Say Gay" legislation, then enacted the same sort of legislation in Alberta, is also incomprehensible.

This is what Danielle Smith supports. Extreme authoritarian rule where angry reactionaries can fire public school teachers for simply listening to their kids.

This is unconscionable. We must vote out the UCP and demand that the new government repeal these hateful transphobic, homophobic, anti-queer laws in Alberta.

People.comFirst Florida Teacher Fired for Using Student's Preferred Name Without Parental ConsentA Florida teacher has been fired for calling her student by their preferred name without the child’s parents’ consent. Satellite High School teacher Melissa Calhoun did not obey Florida’s law, "Parental Authorization for Deviation from Student's Legal Name Form."

Today is Day of Silence at many schools across the US, at least at those with the courage to ignore Trump's threats against DEI and against the lgbtq community. On this day, many students and teachers take a vow of silence in solidarity with lgbtq people throughout the world who are silenced by homophobic and transphobic laws, threats and violence, and to help educate their peers about homophobia and transphobia.

I am proud to say that scores of my students (both gay and straight) participated today by wearing stickers and, in many cases, remaining silent for the entire morning.

Q: Would you also accept the "opinion" and "debate" your own right to exist?

  • I doubt so that you'd accept that!

#HumanRights are not up for "debate" but precondition to even consider any debate.

  • If that's "too divisive" for ya then maybe you need to stop deepthroating fash boots, check your privilegues, grow a spine and show some basic decency...

#TransRightsAreHumanRights and if you disagree you're politely asked to block me and go #TouchGrass!

Mastodonsnorker (@snorker@mastodon.social)@bazkie@beige.party @shine@gts.churanova.eu @MegaMichelle@a2mi.social @fediforum Discussing and debating with people with opinions far from my own is _always_ good, no matter how wrong me or them might be. Ostracizing makes people quiet, it doesn't change opinions. Talking does.

I will readily admit that I'm becoming a #DrBronners superfan, especially when I read their blog posts, including this powerful one on the recent #TransDayOfVisibility that provides an excellent list of organizations that they are supporting financially this year that advocate for true trans inclusion and acceptance.

I am loathe to link to something on Substack, but given how little good news we read nowadays I wanted to share this one: 17 Montana Republicans Cross Party Lines, Defeat Anti-Trans Bill After Nonbinary Rep's Speech

Here's the first paragraph (which I split in half), so you don't need to click through:

"On Tuesday, Montana’s House considered Senate Bill 164, legislation that would classify gender-affirming care for transgender youth as felony child endangerment. The bill would not only target doctors and nurses, but also parents—including those merely passing through the state.

"Though the vote was expected to be close, a powerful floor speech from Representative SJ Howell prompted a wave of Republican defections. The bill was defeated 40–58, becoming one of several anti-trans proposals to fail this year following strong speeches by Montana’s transgender and nonbinary lawmakers."
