This weekend I worked out a power thing and got the little pump working that I originally bought for the riparium. We
got a porcelain fish bowl at an estate sale and I thought it would be great for a constant source of moisture for the greenhouse.
There are a couple of large lava rocks inside, so that I can start to plant some aquatic stuff and maybe add some snails. It is big enough for some small fish, but after the raccoon episode I am not quick on getting new outdoor fish.

Been a while since I posted a greenhouse status update. The roof is almomost completely done, only missing one pane - I broke one putting it up, and itis taken a while to get a replacement.
Also almost halfway done with the wall glass - just two more pones for the bottom concourse. It's really starting to feel like a proher structure!

The original plan was to build a proper polly tunnel down the line, but impatience and a good offer landed us here. I can rationalise it by pointing out the opportunity to start small and learn more before investing in something bigger 
We set it up on some old paving stones that came with the property. The spot is sunny most of the day and somewhat protected from the wind. It is also notably not in the middle of a field of human sized nettles. A good balance, all in all.
I'm excited to get in here and try my hand at some less hardy crops

This afternoon I have sown 2 types of Tomato (Ailsa Craig and Limonita F1), Chilli Pepper (Quick Fire F1), and Spring Onions (Totem).
I've put the tomatoes and chillies in the heated propagator. The onions can take their chance in the #greenhouse but I've put an upturned clear plastic tray over them to trap a little more warmth during the day.
I put a stool in the greenhouse and I could quite happily sit in there doing nowt all afternoon!
Lufa Farms has the right idea - building rooftop greenhouses for fresh veggies above hyperstores/supercenters. They currently serve #Quebec and #Ottawa
