@GossiTheDog Microsoft org structure cartoon, updated for the AI era. #Copilot
@GossiTheDog Once a human prompts Copilot to create a doc and then saves it to M365, that now becomes a human authored source. Next time that hallucinated BS will be attributed to a coworker, making it even harder for anyone to spot the error.
I've asked if there is anything built into #Microsoft365 #Copilot to stop this feedback loop of AI hallucinations. No, there isn't.

I've been using AI to help me organize tasks and it has been TREMENDOUSLY helpful.
I did a huge mental dump a few weeks ago and have gotten through a ton more tasks than expected, or maybe I simply don't give myself credit when I complete tasks and have only focused on the active/incomplete.
Yesterday I solidified a foundational schedule for basic human needs/adulting/work/leisure time, so now I'm moving on to adding in specific chores for an at-home and away from home schedule. That will be completed by the end of the weekend.
Tonight I'm focusing on adding all the brain stuff I wrote down that, as I'm learning, overwhelms my mind, but isn't all that urgent so long as I have a central place to store it.
For that I purchased three spiral notebooks a week or so ago. One is for work, one is for person and one is for "content-creation" and/or hobbies.
I feel SO relieved. AI can be useful, if used correctly.
New Vulnerability in GitHub #Copilot and Cursor: How Hackers Can Weaponize Code Agents
@jon Because from their standpoint it makes perfect sense: Gather all data they can get away with about their users and sell it for nice profits ON TOP OF the license fees they are already paying, which their investors love.
And in one fell swoop finally creating the access all the acronym services have been having wet dreams about for years.
And oh so many people just sleepwalk into it...
#microsoft # Linux #copilot #recall #independence moving away from Microsoft and Windows after a lifetime! Started out in win 3.11. Finally had enough after all this copilot crap!
Going to be looking for help from all you experienced Linux users out there! Please be patient?
If you are an office worker of any kind please understand Copilot Recall for what it is: Microsoft wants a training dataset of _what your job looks like_ in order to _replace you_. The nepo baby your oligarch puts in charge will happily pay half your salary to Microsoft to get even most of your job done without you.
Wealth wants access to skill without giving the skilled access to wealth.
Yes!
I got the barebones of C + OpenGL + GLTF :)
Now I can start cooking remake of one of my childhood games.

In case you forgot about Microsoft Recall, it looks like it will reappear in your Copilot+ computer soon running Windows 11.
I am sure you are all thrilled with the idea of a screenshot being taken of your screen every 3 seconds, right?
I'm seeing a lot of "Copilot+PC" computers on the market. Is this a hardware feature ? Does cleaning out the drive and installing something other than windoz get rid of the surveillance AI ?
Asking for a friend.
Microsoft is about to launch Recall for real this time
The long-delayed feature will begin gradually rolling out to Windows Insiders.

So, instead of going:
“Hey, maybe our UI/UX sucks so bad, we should do something about that! Oh, and maybe we should also make user-documentation more accessible and easy to find!”
Microsoft again is just dumping “AI” onto the issue, in hopes it can just continue to make shitty, user-hostile apps and tell other software vendors to do the same.
Because nobody knows what they’re doing anymore and perpetuating the “AI” grift is just the answer to everything now.
When #microsoft adds #CoPilot to effin' #notepad and #meta adds an #AI option to #WhatsApp you know that the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Rational decision making has gone completely out the window with these companies. They see a shiny new bandwagon and by golly they're going to jump on it, whether it makes sense or not.
For the love of all that is holy, or unholy, make it STAHP
A hot topic in #GLAMR -- and this paper makes a good fist of understanding AI's limitations. Large differentials between #ChatGPT, and #CoPilot / #Gemini.
