The Oudemanhuispoort courtyard is a hidden gem in the city center. Tucked between Kloveniersburgwal and Oudezijds Achterburgwal, it’s part of a 17th-century complex originally built as a shelter for the elderly. Now owned by the University of Amsterdam, it hosts the Faculty of Humanities and student housing. 👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓🏛️📚

The courtyard is accessed through a covered passage known for its secondhand book market. Midway, a door opens to the quiet garden with benches, a lawn, and rose bushes… A calm escape in the heart of the city. 🌹

Een lokale partij in #Meppel wil van het college van de stad in Drenthe weten waarom er geen #archeologisch onderzoek heeft plaatsgevonden op de plek van de gesloopte #discotheek Lord Nelson in het Meppelse #centrum. Dat onderzoek had daar volgens de partij wel plaats moeten vinden. Eerder ging om dezelfde reden al #bodemerfgoed in Meppel verloren.

In Haarlem komt volgens jaar een referendum over parkeren in de wijken. Het gaat er over of er in die wijken ook betaald parkeren moet komen. Het gaat hier om bewonersparkeren: vast tarief voor bewoners en anderen kunnen dan (duur, per uur) straatparkeren. Bijvoorbeeld bezoek aan huis.

Stel, u woont in een wijk bij het #centrum waar dit #bewonersparkeren reeds is ingevoerd, hoe zou u #stemmen voor andere wijken?
