Still a Few
Surprised to find a few mushrooms still about in local forest
I just remembered I’m taking a mushroom identification class and I have homework.
Mushrooms and New Kit
Picked up a field monitor in the recent Amazon sales, Viltrox DC-550, lot easier for macro shooting
British woodland mushrooms cosplaying as Georgia O’Keeffe’s New Mexico lilies.
Anyone who can help me identify this cluster (beech and mixed woodland, UK), your help is much appreciated!
Flammulina Velutipes
Velvet Shank mushrooms on tree, at least I think they are, not 100% sure on this one.
Kuehneromyces Mutabilis
Known as Sheathed Woodtuft, lot of these about too at the moment
Scleroderma Citrinum
Known as the common earthball or pigskin poison puffball, lot of these about now.

#GrifolaFrondosa
"Grifola frondosa is a polypore mushroom that grows in clusters at the base of trees, particularly oaks. The mushroom is commonly known among English speakers as hen-of-the-woods, ram's head and sheep's head. In the United States' supplement market, as well as in Asian grocery stores, the mushroom is known by its Japanese name #maitake (#舞茸), which means "dancing mushroom". Throughout Italian American communities in the northeastern United States, it is commonly known as the #signorina mushroom.... [Image from the website]

Sighted on my walk today. I'm 99% sure it's a "Hen of the Woods" mushroom, but wanted to see what others thought. I'll go back to the spot tomorrow to see what it has underneath. I found it near a rotted maple tree stump next to some blackberry bushes.
