@Hex You could try #MagicEarth maps, which like #OrganicMaps, uses OSM. It does show bus lines and stops and can be used without internet for routes.

Kommt aus Südeuropa, hab ich nun mehrfach eingesetzt und funktioniert zuverlässig. Integriert sich auch perfekt in Android Auto.

Gestern habe ich meine neue NaviApp getestet. Ich will ja nicht nur von Microsoft weg sondern auch so weit es geht von Google.
Magic Earth ist wirklich super. Die Karten von Open Street Maps sind wirklich viel detaillierter. Besonders für Fußgänger*innen und Fahrradfahrer*innen. Bei mir sind in der näheren Umgebung schon drei Wege eingezeichnet, die Google mir gar nicht angezeigt hat. Darunter ein wunderschöner Fußweg zum Meer, den Ich ich erst vor ein paar Tagen entdeckt habe.
Beim Autofahren finde ich die Führung auch viel übersichtlicher, die Ansagen kommen früher und ich finde super, dass ich darauf hingewiesen werden, wenn ich zu schnell fahre. Nach Orten suchen, wo man die Adresse nicht hat funktioniert auch gut. Also Supermarkt, Theater o.ä.
Auf die Bewertungen von Orten kann ich auch verzichten. Diese ganze Bewerterei im Netz geht mir eh auf die Nerven. Oft sagt das nichts aus, weil vieles Absichtssache ist.
Die App ist wirklich übersichtlich. Und ich werde sie diesen Monat nochmal auf der Langstrecke testen.

My first drive with the European Magic Earth incl. Apple Carplay integration went well. The voice telling me where to drive is a bit on the slow side - a "1.25x" switch would be cool. Apart from that it works well.
Also checked their web page; seems they make the "public app" free and make their money from businesses using their service, so this is not the google business model where you pay with your data.

BRouter kannte ich bisher nicht, kenne keine brauchbare Alternative zu Komoot. Leider funktioniert BRouter bei mir nicht, ich bekomme Fehlermeldungen. Aber auch wenn eine Meldung "Erfolg" verzeichnet, passiert nichts brauchbares oder die App wird beendet. Schade.

@sebsauvage J'ai donc (rapidement) testé MagicEarth (sans les fonctionnalités ADAS et qu'en voiture).
L'application est bien plus aboutie qu'OM en termes d'UI/UX, personnalisation et cas d'usage. La couverture fonctionnelle est d'ailleurs impressionnante.
En revanche, on est bien sur une application propriétaire avec, malgré un louable effort de transparence, certains aspects "boîte noire". Je m'interroge notamment sur le modèle économique.

La dernière version de MagicEarth détecte quand vous roulez en voiture ou non, et marque automatiquement où vous avez garé votre voiture.
Mais c'est hyper pratique, ça !
Ended up switching back to #Osmand mostly because #MagicEarth doesn't listen to the map as much, especially for cycling. Osmand doesn't check public records for addresses but gets the routing done so much better it makes up for the lack of traffic data.

Magic Earth has the ability to estimate where a particular address is if there is no precise street number in OSM for that address.
None of the FOSS mapping apps I have tried were able to do that, and default to just showing you the whole street, if anything.
I find I can use @organicmaps (or other FOSS OSM apps) for most POIs (by address, and sometimes name) and for older residential neighborhoods, but have to revert to #MagicEarth for some things.

Pour revenir encore une fois sur Magic Earth, notez aussi que désormais le thème "Magic Day" affiche des couleurs spécifiques pour différentes zones. C'est très pratique pour les repérer rapidement sur la carte.

@kuketzblog #Osmand (+) als Schweizer Messer in allen Bereichen - nur die KfZ Navigation auf langen Strecken ist bei der Routenkalkulation doch sehr langsam. Da ist #MagicEarth mein Favorit - auch wegen der Stauinfos.
