#AfroCeltSoundSystem is a collective of Celtic and African musicians formed in 1995, using traditional instruments from their respective ethnic homelands married with modern electronics, originally releasing records on #PeterGabriel’s #RealWorldRecords.
I don’t recall their first album making much of a splash, but this, their second, was everywhere for a minute, rising above the sea of #WorldMusic / #NewAge soup that sloshed about in the #90s, on the wings of #SineadOConnor's unmistakeable strong yet delicate vocals on the title track.

#TheCure had evolved steadily since their debut,Three Imaginary Boys, by the time they produced this atmospheric proto-#goth release.
I can't help but hear these lyrics as almost comically stereotypically goth-dreary now - the perspective of maturity, or world-weary cynicism? -
but they do reflect lead and driving force #RobertSmith's self awareness about the substances he and his bandmates were reputed to be indulging in at the time, and when I let go and sink into the music, yeah, it still works.

Maybe using album title is a bit of a cheat, especially when "Substance" is literally just a collection of 12-inch singles. But New Order was one of those British bands that mostly didn't put their singles on albums, so it's an essential part of their discography.
And also I love this video, it's my favourite video of all time. It's ridiculous and has nothing to do with the song, but those clowns/dancers just mesmerize me every time.
