#TheCure had evolved steadily since their debut,Three Imaginary Boys, by the time they produced this atmospheric proto-#goth release.

I can't help but hear these lyrics as almost comically stereotypically goth-dreary now - the perspective of maturity, or world-weary cynicism? -
but they do reflect lead and driving force #RobertSmith's self awareness about the substances he and his bandmates were reputed to be indulging in at the time, and when I let go and sink into the music, yeah, it still works.

After a year of health issues and chronic pain I’m attempting to get back into a routine and also filming my process for my other socials.

My line work does not always reflect the final piece.

I’m really enjoying drawing Robert Smith, especially as I’ve never drawn him before. He’s been a nice reintroduction to working and creating content for socials while not feeling pressured.

Pound for pound, my favorite #80s Cure album for sure, & only beat out by Wish overall (I know I’m in the minority with Wish).

A great Sunday spin, with a good balance of the doom + gloom Robert Smith, & the catchy, sunny Bob.

I always forget how great “Six Different Ways” is until I hear it again.
Definitely should have been a single.
