Cartoon Network - Captain Planet and the Planeteers: The Complete Franchise Promo

This one's for the 90's kids out there.

I still believe there is a way for a current-day animator to reboot/remake in a fun way. Something Ben10-y, action packed. Very Saturday Morning. But with current environmentalism theory.

And hell, let's keep the mullet. Tht is not something I usually support. But he wouldnt be the same w/out it.

Reminded by @augustocc of the Captain Planet and the Planeteers TV show, which apparently first aired 34 years ago.

"Each episode is followed by at least one "Planeteer Alert" clip [...] which discusses environmental-political and social-political issues and how the viewer can contribute and be part of "the solution" rather than "the pollution"."

Now that's a show worth rebooting!

I remember watching Captain Planet regularly after school. I actually recall very little of the details of the episodes, but the overall concept (and the opening theme) definitely stuck with me, often via meme-ish references.

I thought this article was a good read - so interesting to learn more about the history, motivations and inspirations behind the show - and super relevant!
