Ritual embodiment of the Dark Mother,
The Cailleach.

Grandmother of Bone and Stone, Keeper of the Deer, Wise Winter Witch, Divine Death Doula...
As old as the forevers.

Architect of primordial landscapes, hill raiser, storm brewer- as some of the highest and wildest places are named for her.

Guardian of the frosts, protecting what she will and letting the rest transition and transform.

Amulets to celebrate the Winter Solstice and the Divine Hag are in the webshop. With more to come.

Merry #Christmas, a happy #Yule, a beautiful #WinterSolstice or just a good time!!!

The time around Winter Solstice is special to many cultures, and there are a lot of old stories. My favorite is the story of the Child of Light, who is born every year on the Winter Solstice as part of the Wheel of the Year.

And if there's one thing we really need in these dark times, it is more light, much more light.
