If you want to take to the air via helicopter or light plane to see the Great Ocean Road - go in the warmer months as there is usually less cloud cover. Try to book a spot as close to sunset as possible. To do this you may need to book a doors off helicopter or plane flight. If you wish to book a flight like this then these are the 3 operators to offer this service:
Apollo Bay Aviation (helicopters)
Twelve Apostles helicopters
Skydive Twelve Apostles (light plane)
No matter which one you choose you must email them ahead of time to book a doors off experience. The light plane option is the cheapest option per hour.

If you're using an ultra-wide angle lens and there's nothing interesting in the foreground at the beach, try slowing down your shutter speed (you may need an ND filter). This will allow you to capture the movement of the water, creating a dynamic and engaging foreground. Point Ronald, Victoria, Australia.
