People who are... liking the Tariffs tell you to just buy American or go without, especially to small businesses.

I haven't found many American sellers that make holographic and gold foil art prints. (You know, like how you see in Artist Alley of anime conventions?)

Stickers, lanyards, wallets, bookmarks, comic books, pins, acrylic stands, notebooks, stationary, coloring books... expensive or non existent in the US

Giving a crap about your product, loving making it, continuing to work on making a better quality product... makes a better quality product lol.

I think co-op US businesses tend to have better quality items. Especially food. 👀

But the problem is... small businesses embedded in the community *need* inexpensive things for their business like paper gift bags and tissue paper and stickers which come from China. W/o that, you're cutting small biz off at the knees.

I think... artisans (in this case American) put so much love and craftsmanship into each piece that it comes out quality.
I think the problem underlying manufacturing *anywhere* is companies deep cutting corners to make more money. Ever saw a cool home decor item where the seams break, or the figurine shatters because the ceramic is so thin?

Yeah.

American Made + cutting corners = disposable crap.
It's a global problem! Not just US vs China

Good morning. I'm gonna start some ish right here.

"Made in America" doesn't mean better quality than imported. OMG, it definitely doesn't. 😬 I've bought "made in America" stuff like clothes that could have had better quality.

(This doesn't include American artisans. Artisans out here are killin it with the use or quality wood, metalwork, hand sewn things, etc.)

"Made in America" =/= better quality and construction.

When he died, there were no flags, no procession, no cannon fire. William “Billy” Lee was always there—riding with Washington in war, walking beside him in peace. He served at Cambridge, Valley Forge, Yorktown—silent, indispensable. But when the story of Washington was told, Billy was left out of the frame. His life was one of duty without recognition, loyalty without reward.
