Tangerine Dream. Für mich war es ein kleines Erweckungserlebnis, in meinem Heimatdörfelein im Plattenladen (hatten wir in den 90ern wirklich!) einen Best-Of-Sampler von denen zu entdecken. Techno war ja nett gewesen, aber erst mit Tangerine Dream machten Synthesizer für mich auf einmal Sinn.
Heute ist die Band komplett neu/anders besetzt und zählt 57 Studio-Alben und 37 Singles und – wie könnte es anders sein – die meisten finde ich nicht attraktiv.
Aber hier kommt was vom Album „Hyperborea”, das mich noch immer fasziniert.
Überhaupt denke ich, dass die Zeit von 3-Minuten-20-Sekunden-Autotune-Pophits eigentlich durch ist. Dieses Genre können wir zusammen mit Spotify sterben lassen und endlich wieder gemütlich 20-Minuten-30-Sekunden-Epen hören, dazu kann endlich legal kiffen, wer's mag.

I was on the #TangerineDream concert in Frankfurt yesterday. The last time they were there is 18 years ago. Also they played in the old opera. This was a historic concert. And they told they will return. I hope so! Still mind blown

Bei mir muss eindeutig immer etwas im Hintergrund sanft dudeln, das hilft mir beim Konzentrieren und Fokussieren.
Während es früher oft #Metal oder #Rock war, brauche ich heute eher die sphärisch-driftenden Klänge von #Ambient oder #Elektronik Musik. Anbei vier meiner älteren liebsten Schreib-Alben.

Eröffnungsfeier #Synthesizer #Museum #Berlin mit jeder Menge alter und neuer elektronischer Instrumente auch zum ausprobieren und bei Bedarf sogar zum Mitschneiden. Sehr cool. Auf der Bühne live Kurt „Pyrolator“ Dahlke und Thorsten „Tangerine Dream“ Quaeschning. Wow!
#BloodIncantation - Absolute Elsewhere
Atmospheric #DeathMetal with a bit of a #prog bent, #PinkFloyd and #TangerineDream influences. Some screamed lyrics, but not all the time, lots of instrumental parts. Skillful guitar work. Not my usual; not bad either, but I struggle to get into albums that use this vocal styling, being off-putting is the point, but still. Worth the experience, 45 minutes are well done and distinctive.
