Looks like I'm going through (my) #PerfectAlbums today. They're all subjective.
This one might not be some people's tastes. But to me, it's perfect.

I'm a Meat Puppets fanatic, seen em multiple times, love stuff from all the albums. But only a few of their records I find perfect. I'm not big on their super early stuff. Bits and pieces.
I dig 'Monsters' from 1989 fully, but it's not an 'anytime' kind of record for me. So the first Meat Puppets record I find perfect - an 'anytime' album - is 1991's 'Forbidden Places'.
Has some real alt-country on this one (as most Puppets records do, it's not much, among the blazing guitars). From the first seconds and minutes of "Sam" - I mean, they still play this live. It is WILD. They Might Be Giants covered "Whirlpool". This album is rad, man. From "No Longer Gone" (which was my username on Twitter for many years) to the title track, just legendary. Underrated?
