@owainski I like #iWork but it’s a different UI concept than the #MSO #OpenOffice concept so it takes a bit of getting used to. I’ve been using #LiO from its beginning on both #Windows and #Linux as well as #MacOS. The cross-device integration is much better with iWork and I’ve found #Numbers to be more advanced (at least for my limited use of spreadsheets) than either Excel or Calc. But if you use LiO on your desktop or notebook and #Collabora on your tablet or mobile, w/ the Cloud, they work.

@pteryx here’s their problem with that. The world needs shared, international standards. If you make yourself incompatible with that you’re creating your own conditions for obsolescence. I’d probably learn more iWork and use it regularly if it was ISO compliant but as it’s not, I’ll stick with #LiO, which I’m very happy with except I have to use Collabora on my tablet and mobile.

Alaskans, heads up!

Alaska's 2nd session of the 33rd Legislature gavels in tomorrow.

Want to save your home printer ink? Go down to your local Legislative Information Office and we'll print out bills, summaries, etc.

We want to help you keep informed!

PSA: Alaska's legislative session is one month away and things are gearing up.

Please consider utilizing your community Legislative Information Offices (LIOs) during session.

We always have a line open for testifying opportunities. We can print out info, help you track bills, ..and provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and conversation. 😉

I intend to post often during session regarding committee meetings taking testimony and other timely matters.
