Churning limbs, elongated protrusions, segmented shapes and petals emerging from distant depths,… The series “Swirl of the Damned” shows a keen pleasure in making the viewer do a double-take. What, precisely, is going on?

These acrylic works on canvas constitute an invitation to the imagination & curiosity, while playfully nodding to Rubens and the colour palettes of memento mori.

Yesterday I met @prinlu in person for the first time! I enjoyed the set, from experimental to very danceable. I really really enjoyed the conversations.

I also met @dlikdh for the first time, and I didn’t know I had such a cool neighbor in Köln. Same with #Kunstwerk what an impressive community project! The whole evening was very inspiring and very warm (mentally; the actual temperature was trending to chilly, but I came prepared).

I repainted the colors of this oil painting today because the previous shades (you can see it in an older post here) started to feel wrong. They reflected my emotional state at the time, but I also want to strongly bring out the feeling of hope in my paintings; Hopefully it is more visible here, but the message of the artwork is the same: An old woman wondering the state of the world... Stay safe! 🕊️

Der Künstler hatte die monetäre Beklopptheit schon hoch angesetzt, dass die so hoch wird ... Minions?

Die Instruktionen Cattelans besagen zudem, dass die reife Banane an der Wand alle zwei oder drei Tage ersetzt werden soll. Der neue Eigentümer erwarb also somit eher die Idee Cattelans und ein Zertifikat, anstatt der Banane und des Klebebandes.
