My very first assigned pooling yarn; I did it. I’m so proud, this is the reason why I started this whole yarn dyeing journey. There’s a free YouTube tutorial available for anyone to join the fruity journey. Hurry up because stock is limited.

Hello @knitting community, can you help me out with some inspiration?
I have a bunch of scrap (about half a ball each) sock yarn, all self striping, self texturizing. I'm looking for ideas (and possibly patterns?) to knit something other than socks with it.
Leg warmers? Phone pouch? Something else entirely?
I'd prefer something I can actually use (wear) instead of a "vanity" project (a tea cosy would be pointless for example, what with me having no teapot to cosy up).
Thankful for any input.
Out sick and away from the computer helped my #crocheting this week ....
Another #crochet #wip is now completed. A #gingham style #throw using the #griddle #stitch and carrying the three #colors of #yarn along.
Super easy stitch although this pattern does, slightly, show the yarn being carried. Great pattern to work on when binge watching TV.
I might add another row or two on the border.

In an effort to help with funding for flood recovery, I am selling this hand-made wooly lace shawl!
Pattern is Ashton shawl by Dee O'Keefe.* Added another leaf motif row before doing the border. Measures a general 60 by 30 inches.
100% wool, so it will be itchy to some folks. Yarn is KnitPicks Palette Fingering held double. Unknown color because I found the yarn at a local Goodwill years ago, but it is a nice neutral brown
I am selling this lovely thing for US$500, starting price. All proceeds for this will go towards my flood recovery, namely buying myself a bed.

Hand knit socks take time, but so do good things. My latest sock pattern will be up for testing on Yarnpond soon, keep an eye out if you’d like to join! Slow progress is still progress. #knit #crochet #yarn #ravelry #testknitsocks #testknit #handmade #handknitsocks
Off the needles! Same yarn but a different pattern for each sock. Both knit toe up but a different heal construction. #knitting #handmade #SockYarn #sockknitting #handknit #knittingmastodon #knit
Vanishing Culture: Punch Card Knitting | Internet Archive Blogs
Punch cards are a fascinating binary data storage format that aren’t just history—they’re still used by knitting machines today! Thanks to the Internet Archive and other collections, we still have access to historic punch cards, but there are some technical challenges to using them in the format they’re stored in. Meet a few folx working on those challenges.

To absolutely brag: 4 months ago I did not know how to knit. Now I've made this.
I made this! With sticks and yarn!! How cool is that!!!
#ContemplativeKnitting #Introduction During the Easter season, I’m using the book Contemplative #Knitting by Julie Cicora https://bookshop.org/a/13969/9781640652620 for my daily devotional & tooting my #SpiritualReflections here. Each chapter will have its own thread & I’ll hashtag the book & the chapter. It’s possible there will be multiple reflections per chapter & each will be tooted as a reply to the first toot of the chapter. Feel free to join the conversation or add your own reflection(s) to the thread.
The Introduction asks how important doing things the “right” way is. I’d like to say it isn’t, but the truth is I was brought up preoccupied with doing things “right” & understanding that until I understand how the rules work, I can’t break them. As a result, I’m a bit of a perfectionist who often abandons things when I can’t do them “right” or get bored trying. That’s why I’m purposely keeping this practice vague & taught myself to #knit around age 12 or 13. I’m not the rebel I’d like to be 1/?
