@inthehands Not quite "The Leftovers IRL" levels, but in the ballpark, and probably an undercount. Meanwhile, per the same authors (danieldench.com/static/pdfs/wo), forced-birth policies cause >2% increase in birth rates in ban states. An outflow of mobile young adults now, replaced by impoverished children. Just what the reich ordered.

These analyses are based on public, federal data (USPS CoA forms, CDC Wonder DB), so I expect the Trump admin to block research access to them soon enough, or just stop collecting it altogether.
