In August 2018 we were on or way back from our holidays in Gascogne and had a two-days-stay in the south of Burgundy. I just drove around and found this junkyard and workshop in the middle of nowhere. The owner guided me and told me many interesting stories of the wrecks there. it was a challenge, me barely speaking french, he absolutely no english or german. He was very friendly and we laughed a lot. And: Who can name all the cars?

I've watched half of the 2+ hour video linked in mastodon.art/@troy_s/114438525 by Steve Yedlin, "Debunking HDR".

I strongly recommend it to everyone interested in #HDR . I also recommend taking a break every half an hour.

Their term "scene white" is the same as #wayland "reference white".

I shall now resume watching the rest of it.

Básicamente Dual ISO aumenta el rango dinámico disponible en una sola toma. En el caso de Magic Lantern, como mi cámara no está diseñada para esta función, lo que hace es alternar la ISO entre cada fila de píxeles (similar a cómo funciona el vídeo entrelazado, sí).

Llevo años usando Magic Lantern y es la primera vez que me fijo. Deshonra para mí, deshonra para mi vaca.

Esto lo quiero combinar con un flujo de trabajo #HDR si #Linux #Wayland consigue ser funcional en este apartado algún día 🤣.

While it is surely the wet dream of some tech company execs that want to sell yet another silly electronic gadget, the sheer thought of having a photo that will ONLY ever show correctly on some "compatible device" that needs to either be plugged in or have a battery is revolting.
