Of course it isn't. But it's the only thing with the tools and methods to stand a chance of arriving at truth. Discussion about "the validity of metaphysical beliefs" is merely groundless guesswork. It's just philosophy, which in the case of the undetectable is mental masturbation, IMO.
Everyone has the right to speak, and theists are free to answer me with whatever approach they want to take. But they rarely do. I try to start, not prevent, discussion.
