So, a while back was asking about an alternative to Kindle/Amazon ecosystem. Went for a PocketBook Inkpad 3 #ereader on which I installed #KOreader and I'm using a #selfhosted #kavita instance to manage my online library. On top of that I found a number of #drmfree stores and publishers.
It feels So much better to have been able to leave the more and more restrictive boundaries and, even more importantly, to actually OWN the #books!

2D Point and click game "Old Skies" was released recently. It has a native Linux version, is available DRM free at GOG & was made using the FOSS Adventure Game Studio engine. It has a 10% discount until 04/29/25.

@Frau_Sofa @petergleick bookshop. org can partner with your local bookshop allowing them to sell things like e-books that most independent book stores can't otherwise do.
For example here's Burke's Book Store https://bookshop.org/shop/burkesbooks in #Memphis. Unfortunately, the don't (yet?) Have very many e-books and don't make it easy to search for #DRMFree e-books.
However they are improving. The book page for the book mentioned in this post https://indieweb.social/@mcrocker/113969681854532714 is already better than it was then.
