I just finished EndVertex’s video essay on for-profit creative software, and it’s really good. Not only is it an insightful walkthrough by someone with lots of experience on the matter, it is also super entertaining, personal, and well-made, with animated sketches between each segment. I highly recommend watching it.

This was a really incredible #video that showed up in my recommendations on #youtube. Definitely worth a watch if you use any proprietary #software tools for your livelihood, or even just for your hobbies. It can be painful, but for pretty much any personal #project I'll use open-source software. It's often not as user friendly or capable, but at least it's mine to use how I like.
