The first episode of my webcomic (inspired by my daughter), Little Charlotte's Grand Adventure. (Webtoon link if you're interested in reading more: webtoons.com/en/challenge/litt )

It's currently on a mini break as I take care of some paid comic work, but I can't wait to get back to it!

Panel 1: A little girl lies asleep in her bed, surrounded by a large stuffed bear and several stuffed owls. Panel 2: Light from an open doorway illuminates the girl as a voice from off-panel gently says, "Wake up, little boo."
Panel 1: A hand reaches down to nudge the girl from her slumber. "Time to start another big boo day." A little dog - a chihuahua rat terrier (AKA a "ratchi") to be precise - walks up alongside the bed and sniffs the girl while wagging its tail. Panel 2: "Gotta make some coffee for me and Mama," says the man while starting to turn back to the doorway. The girl yawns and starts to sit up slowly. "And get YOU some food!" says the man.
Close-up on the girl's face as she lights up - instantly awake now - and says, "FOOD!"
The little girl zips out of her bed and waves goodbye to her stuffed animal friends. "Bye Cornelius! Bye, owls!"

"What do you want to do today?" asks Mom. The little girl, Charlotte, is eating banana slices with a fork.
Charlotte munches and chews as she says, "What DO I wanna do today? Hmmmm!"

"Go for a walk..." Charlotte narrates, as she considers the things she'll do throughout the day. The family (Mom, Dad, Charlotte, and dog) walks through the neighborhood as Charlotte jumps in a big puddle, splashing everybody. "Aaack!" say the parents, while Charlotte cheers to herself, "YES!" The dog growls, "Rrrrrrr!"
"Swing on my swing!" Charlotte's narration continues. Dad pushes Charlotte in a swing as Charlotte says, "Higher, daddy! HIGHER!!!" Dad rolls his eyes.
"Do my homework..." Charlotte's narration continues. Mom and Charlotte are going through a preschool workbook together. "How many sides does the triangle have?" asks Mom. "One...two...three! That's my age!" concludes Charlotte. "And then..." Charlotte narrates.
"TV time!" Charlotte narrates. Dad turns on the TV for Charlotte as she munches on a snack of cheesy fish crackers. "Bleh!" exclaims a blue puppet on the TV screen (quite unintentionally resembling popular Sesame Street character Elmo - but this one's blue not red - there can be no mistaking them for each other.) "Thanks, Blehlmo," says Dad. (See? Totally different character.)

Episode 3 (part 2)

"Then I'll make a picture for Mama..." Charlotte narrates. Charlotte uses dot paints on a large piece of paper. "bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop," goes the paint thing. The dog naps on the couch in the background.
"Build a castle with Daddy..." Charlotte narrates. Charlotte and Dad put together an intricate structure with large building block toys.
"Practice my poses..." Charlotte narrates. Charlotte and Mom do yoga, emulating the movements of a yoga instructor on the TV screen.
"Eat pizza!" Charlotte narrates. The family sits at the table once more, all eating pizza. "Owmp owmp owmp," says Charlotte as she inhales a slice.

Dad tucks Charlotte into bed with her stuffed animals (a bear and a parliament of owls - yes, that's the real word for a group of owls!) "Good night, little boo," says Dad. "Night, Daddy," replies Charlotte. "We'll have another fun day tomorrow," says Dad.
Close-up on Charlotte in her bed as the light dims. She closes her eyes and starts to drift to sleep.
A panel of pure black.
The panel fades from black down to Charlotte now on the ground outside, beside a tree with mushrooms growing from its trunk. She now wears an adventurer's cloak. "Nnnh. Daddy?" Charlotte says, lifting her head wearily.

Episode 4 (part 2)

Charlotte rubs her eyes and starts to get up. "Wh-where?" She's surrounded by tall trees and shrubberies.
Charlotte stands, now startled. "Mamaaa?" she calls.
"?!" she says, now fully taking in the forest.
Charlotte runs around in a panic, crying out, "Daaaaddy!? Mammaaaa!!! Mamadaddy!!!"

Episode 5 (part 1)

A silhouetted figure walks along. "THUMP THUMP!" A frog hops out of the way and says, "Ribbit."
"DADDAYYYYYYYY!" Charlotte yells, as she runs crazily through the woods.
Same shot of the woods, but Charlotte has zoomed out of the panel.
"MOMMAYYYYYYYYYY!" Charlotte yells, now back in frame, running from the other side of the panel.

Episode 5 (part 2)

Charlotte pauses to catch her breath. "Mommy... *wheeze* huff, huff, huff, puff, huff." A sound effect from off-panel appears: "Thump, Thump."
Close-up of Charlotte as she listens and asks, "What's dat noise?" The mysterious sound continues, "Thump, Thump," a little larger this time. Whatever it is must be getting closer.
