I found a seemingly functioning pay phone last week, in this, the Year Of Our Lord 2024, so here are some reference pictures from several angles for myself and for anyone else who might like to use them

I almost feel like going back and getting a few more pictures, with the receiver out of its cradle, etc (try finding that on Google Images, y'know?)

I always hated those things, broken and filthy most of the time.
But I suppose better than nothing.
@gedvondur yeah, I've used the ones in airports but I can't recall ever using one of these, lol
@elainemwill I'm old so they rescued me from automotive breakdowns a few times. Also used a few times to call a taxi home instead of driving after having a few too many.

@elainemwill I know some ppl might think they are anachronistic, and I might be nostalgic, but there is a... allure to them. IDK. I guess it would be nice to know if my phone dies, or doesnt have reception, there is an option.
