2nd chicken outing. Temps were decent til about 10:30 am. We started off in the ground level run area. They were more confident and explored a bit before rediscovering the ramp and heading to the indoor area. They didn't stay inside long, came back down the ramp and resumed nibbling emergent greens and scratching in the sandy loam.

Stheno appears to be the smart chick, she quickly discovered the pipe feeders and what they are for. They eventually all used them.

6 tawny Wheaten Marans chicks w baby down still on their heads scratch and peck in the sandy loam of their fenced and covered run area of their coop.
One of the chicks discovers the curved PVC pipe feeder w chick feed in it. She pecks at the feed visible in the upwardly curve pipe end. Another chick looks on.
