Here is Fujiko Mine stealing Melody’s spot as the drummer for “Josie and the Pussycats.”
Speaking of Melody, I thought it was Noriko Ohara who played Melody and Eiko Masuyama who played Valerie. And that was years before the Japanese dub was uploaded on Youtube. When I found the actual ep, Melody's voice doesn't sound like Oyuki from Urusei Yatsura. It was actually Fujicakes voicing Melody. 1/4
I'm kinda confused, and I found out later as to why? It's because their names have been changed. Valerie's new name is Melody, and Melody's new name is Mimiri. Josie's new name is Chaco if you're interested. That explains why I was so confused back then. 2/4
I originally thought Melody Valentine is voiced by the seiyuu who played Oyuki from "Urusei Yatsura" when it was actually Fujicakes all along. After watching the actual dub, I like the idea of Eiko Masuyama as Melody even more. Which is why I've made this project. 3/4
I did a Twitter poll months ago on which version of Fujiko I should do. Fujiko Part I is the popular choice. It makes sense; because both "Lupin III Part I" & the Japanese dub of Hanna Barbera's "Josie and the Pussycats" premiered in 1971. That's the dub that features Eiko Masuyama as the voice of my favorite pussycat drummer Melody Valentine. 4/4
