-I did love Flow, and Wallace & Gromit (of course!) for Best Animated Feature, but I have heard such good things about The Wild Robot! I put a hold on the DVD at the library a couple months ago, and starting at something like #80 I am now down to #6. So close!

For movie night we are watching #WallaceAndGromit Vengeance Most Fowl, and honestly this is a more intelligent representation of robots, network security, and electronics than you find in your average live action drama.
I watched & enjoyed the #film #WallaceAndGromit Vengeance Most Fowl.
What? You don't like Wallace & Gromit? 
Wallace, an inventor who's best buddy is his dog Gromit, creates a Gnome Bot in order to pay off bills, but gets into trouble when a Penguin, sent to the zoo after getting caught by Wallace, catches wind of the Gnome Bot. The #claymation is exceptional, and characters are adorkable. It's a silly take on Sherlock Holmes vs. Moriarty created with clay. I can recommend it. 
Today, February 12, is loyal beagle Gromit's birthday. Happy birthday, Gromit! (The Wrong Trousers, 1993)

Watched the first 25 minutes , i.e. one third, of #VengeanceMostFowl and I am not impressed thus far. I normally love #WallaceAndGromit. This offering, thus far, is predictable, too slow and not at all funny. Housemate managed to watch the whole thing and did not LOL once. We periodically view the whole œuvre and laugh even though we have seen dozens of times. This latest film feels somehow recycled. I read that the film has been lauded. Are we the only two fans who are not so keen?

A new Wallace & Gromit movie, “Vengeance Most Fowl”, came out on Netflix this month. Nick Park remains one of my favourite animators, and this movie did not disappoint. He manages to make movies that are heartwarming, charming, funny, surprising, and also creepy AF in parts. And this one takes a little swing at AI along the way.
It’s a perfect little movie to get your mind off things.
It's that sinister way he always knows he's being watched as well, like he's omniscient.
Maybe he can even sense US watching him...
