Bernie Sanders did not run as a third party candidate; he has always endorsed the Democratic nominee and has always campaigned for them. He campaigned over 40 times for Hillary in 2016. Because closing a pipeline means the crude is shipped by tankers, not that it's not shipped! Until we stop using oil(gas) all together this will be the fundamental question. Not to mention the carbon cost of using trains and trucks is larger than pipeline.

It isn't just one bad debate performance, it has been this whole "competence" media tour since that has had the exact opposite effect. He said he would not run for re-election and has gone back on that and has this delusional messianic attitude that only he can beat Trump when all the polls show Kamala would have a better shot.
