"How many rivers do we have to cross,
Before we can talk to the boss? Eh!
All that we got, it seems we have lost;
We must have really paid the cost."

Listening to Marley - his last concert ever - here in #Pittsburgh (at the Benedum Center! (then /1980 Stanley theatre))

An example of why I support Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey:

I was at a polling place last November when he stopped by, said "Hi" to folks out front, and then went inside.

A woman came up to me, and said she had brought an immigrant family to see how voting worked in the US. She asked if I could introduce them to the Mayor when he came back out.

I said I'd try, but he might be busy in a hurry.

When the Mayor came back out, I waved him over, and introduced her to him. I thought he'd just shake hands and be on his way, but he spoke to them for quite awhile.

He explained about city services for immigrants and gave them a phone number and email address for people in city government who can help.

That's my mayor.
