I attended the opening day showing of #nosferatu2024. It's just the fix I needed since #WWDITS ended! Though #Nandor is looking a bit rough in the movie.

Ok, so I tried to watch Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose. I saw Simon Pegg and Christopher Lloyd and thought, "This will be fun."
It was not, in fact, fun. It was weird. Not quirky fun weird, just weird.
It's also "based on a true story" because apparently in the 1930s there really were some people on the Isle of Man who thought a supernatural talking Mongoose showing up on a sheep farm was totally a thing that could happen.
Also, Neil Gaiman is the voice of said rodent. Quoting one of the kids, "Is this what happens? Scandalized sci-fi/fantasy authors just start hiding in the walls and caves on islands off the coast of the UK? At what point will someone find JK Rowling skittering through the crawlspace of a countryside estate?"
