Nachdem meine Waldschaben ausziehen dürften sind heute gleich ein paar neue #Wirbellose Schützlinge eingezogen.
1. Bild: Hierodula Venosa "goldene Riesengottesanbeterin"
2. Bild: Anadenobolus monilicornis "Bumble-Bee Tausendfüsser"
3. Bild: Pycnoscelus Nigra

Entschuldigt das die Bilder teilweise etwas unscharf sind. Die Fotos sind beim umsetzen entstanden, da wollte ich die Tiere nicht zu sehr mit der Kamer stressen.

Here's a creepy critter photo dump. These critters were found by the back porch, except the beetle, which was on our raspberry vines.
1)Yellow-spotted Millipede (Harpaphe haydeniana)
2) Beetle (Helops laetus)
3) Western Carpet moth (Melanolophia imitata)
4) Crane fly (Genus Tricyphona)

"#researchers have uncovered a new genus and 5 #NewSpecies of #millipedes in remote African #jungles—and say the many-legged creatures could hold important clues to whether woody #vines are choking or protecting the world's #forests."

(CW: images of an injured millipede) (Edit: added location, tags.)

A lovely, yet unfortunate spotting. A giant millipede (family Harpagophoridae) spotted on the Sime Track in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, Singapore, on 16 Dec 2023. It had suffered an injury. Eventually, it started moving, and I stayed with it, keeping other people moving on the path away from it, until it went into the forest.
