It’s another #macramé thing!
I started out thinking I wanted to do one thing but then changed my mind, so the colors are kinda funky. I still need some work on keeping knots consistent on both sides, & the yarn was terrible & crinkly, but I think I learned a lot with this one, so I’m happy.
Probably better to practice yarn rather than thread so i can see the knots better.
It’s ok, def need more practice keeping tension consistent.
Also doesn’t help that I’m half designing this little guy as i go by cobbling together a couple different patterns

Then I came across kits at the booth of my local library during Pride Day festivities, so I snatched up a kit to make an ace one to adorn my purse.

I made a 6ft tall macrame Christmas tree, having never done macrame before. It's plastic free, made of 100% cotton rope and metal rings. I started with a pattern for a 42in tall tree, and extended it, making a pattern for one section, and using a wall hanging pattern for the last section. It was originally supposed to be 7ft tall and have a trunk, but people (and cat) liked to climb inside, so I left it open. #FibreArt #macrame

Impulse bought a little macrame kit today for making keychains like this and it was really fun! Never tried it before so new craft unlocked 
The massive Encyclopedia of Needlework by Thérèse de Dillmont, originally printed in 1884, is available for free on Project Gutenberg. Anyone interested in any kind of #textiles work/ #fiberarts will have fun poking around in this book. Nothing specific about #weaving, but lots of finishing techniques that can be incorporated.

Hi there! I'm David. A couple #FinishOrFrogAlong toots crossed my path so I've decided to give it a go myself!
I dabble in a number of different #crafts, but at this precise moment I have a #knitting project to finish up and some more #VisibleMending to repair a chair cushion. Very simple tasks, but it's been tough to make the time lately. Hopefully, this social thing will help me with that!
In addition to those, I've also enjoyed learning a bit of #macrame this year, making #beadsprites with #perlerbeads and the like, and #sewing!
Oh, speaking of sewing, I also have a few diy skylight curtains I still need to hem the edges of!
Last weekend I went to Greenbelt festival which was really fun and I got to try some cool new crafts. See pictured my creations: A macrame wall hanging, a notebook bound with Japanese stab binding (with a marbled paper cover) and a bracelet made from nettles!
