Yesterday, we went to see the Beloi point of view fot the Vikos canyon.
We have to make a little hinkin under a thunderstorm hail. Totally worth it!

The Vikos Gorge or Vikos Canyon is in the Pindus Mountains of north-western Greece. It lies on the southern slopes of Mount Tymphe with a length of about 32 km, depth ranging from 120 to 1350 m, and a width ranging from 2500 m to only a few meters at its narrowest part.

Vikos is listed as the world's "deepest relative to its width" gorge by the Guinness Book of Record among others.

Located near the town of Oberstdorf, the Breitachklamm is one of the deepest accessible gorges in Central Europe. This massive boulder, wedged between the narrow rock walls, marks one of its most striking features along the scenic trail. Several thousand years ago, the river bed was blocked by a lava flow from Mount Etna. As the lava was cooled much more quickly by the water than it would have done otherwise, it crystallised in the form of columns. Over the next millennia, the river naturally eroded a channel through these columns, resulting in impressive gorges and ravines, such as the Alcantara Gorges (Gole dell'Alcantara) next to Francavilla di Sicilia, where the Peloritani mountains end. – Wikipedia
