Tim will pass his Exam today!
This is my Buddy's last day. I drove him 5 hs yesterday, fixed 2 plumbing jobs, we drank 20 beer, & he wanted me to start a laminate job. I'm not ready for that today. He will be in Quebec tomorrow. We'll never see each other again. Oh, we'll say, "I'll take 2 weeks in summer, pop down the coast." That started in 1980s, always something changed, for both of us. This is that visit. Been 20 yrs since I saw him before I retired.

Hast du heute schon deine Backups gemacht und geprüft, ob sie funktionieren? Am besten erstellst du Backups nach der 3-2-1 Regel. Die besagt folgendes: - Mache 3 Kopien deiner Daten. - Speichere sie auf mindesten 2 verschiedenen Speichertechnologien. - 1 Kopie soll außer Haus liegen.
Wieso 3-2-1? Es besteht durchaus die Möglichkeit, dass zwei Dinge Gleichzeitig kaputt gehen. Wenn du nur zwei Kopien deiner Daten hast, besteht die kleine aber existierende Chance, dass beide kaputt gehen und du sie verlierst. Bei drei Kopien ist diese Chance nochmal um einiges kleiner. Selbst wenn zwei kaputt gehen, hast du noch die dritte. Du solltest dabei zwei verschiedene Speichertechnologin verwenden. Das erhöht die Chance, dass zumindest eine Kopie überlebt. Würdest du z.B. alles bei einem Cloudanbieter speichern, und der verliert durch einen Fehler deine Daten, wäre alles weg. Diversifikation hilft hier. Mindestens eine Kopie sollte außer Haus liegen. Stelle dir vor, du hast in deinem Haus oder deiner Wohnung einen Brand und deine wichtigen Unterlagen sind verloren. Mit einem Backup außer Haus z.B. bei einem Cloudanbieter oder einer Festplatte bei einer guten Freundin oder Familie hast du zumindest noch deine Daten. Zum besseren Schutz, verschlüssele deine Backups. Dann kann auch der Cloudprovider oder neugierige Geschwister nicht auf die Daten zugreifen.
Nimm den heutigen Tag als Anlass und erstelle deine Backups.

I'm back up early with the parrots again this morning and have had a successful Ziggy cuddle and medication delivery. Grant said he was having no issues with her taking it with the new baby food so I tried her again and sure enough, she lapped it up this time. I do have some Fruit Feast in reserve now though in case. It's a fruity mash with vitamins and probiotics which you can also make up with water. Yesterday evening was another round of jumping up and down trying to stop Toby from going behind the telly - he's so determined!

Fresh chop to make and then competition toy crochet thereafter. I'm hoping to finish it up this week all going to plan.

Good morning Mastodonians! Whew, sorry to be late, got to the office and then got wrapped up in a Roadeo postmortem meeting. Luckily few complaints, and what did go wrong is easily fixed and the important stuff went right...which is what you want.
Cold again, but should be the last cold day....I hope.

It has been an odd week. Work has been a little off, the past few evenings have been extra busy. Just...seems off.
But, oh well.
Last night had to get prom suit rental setup for Little MDMRN. They were invited to the Jr Prom by their older girlfriend. So, that's happening.
