#Introduction: I thought I should post and pin this again since moving to my own instance. I would appreciate the boosts to get this federated as mush as possible.

I've been writing software for 25+ years spanning many different industries until landing in my current final role as founding member of @limeleaf@social.coop #techcoop where I am doing some consulting projects in #GoLang and #RustLang while also building a few products such as https://apply.coop, https://limecast.net, https://blueskydirectory.com, and other federated/decentralized stuff. I try to get into some #HareLang every once in a while for fun as well. I believe in #opensource, #privacy, #diversity, #equity, and #fairness in all parts of life. You can read more about me on my website and reach out to me anytime you want!

Thanks for anyone who boosts this!

Wow, more intimidation of non-profit groups:

"The Republican-controlled U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security is investigating the Chinese-American Planning Council, a New York City nonprofit, alleging in a letter that the taxpayer-funded group’s know-your-rights training sessions may help undocumented people evade immigrant enforcement officers."

As expected, no empathy or compassion was shown in response to my "deep" introductory post—only an expectation and a request for me to provide additional work and #EmotionalLabour for the unit coordinator (which, I had already completed).

So yes, while I appreciate that there was no #InspirationPorn, it would be nice to hear that they acknowledge it and are happy to support if needed.

1. Learn to spot the signs of patterns of domination (like the shoots of some invasive plant such as knot-weed, popping up here & there).

2. Practice understanding the relationship between the signs of domination (like figuring out where the roots of the knot-weed are beneath the soil)

3. Make new signs – ones that tell a different, more mutual story (a bit like sowing a whole new ecosystem, into ground that was previously dominated by one).

Bears repeating… often: “The democratic recession does not begin when a far-right party takes office. It begins when a centrist party crushes hope in democracy. When Keir Starmer’s government takes a chainsaw to people’s aspirations for a fairer, greener, kinder country, he cuts off not just faith in the Labour party but faith in politics itself. The almost inevitable result, as countries from the US to the Netherlands, Argentina to Austria, Italy to Sweden show, is to let the far right in." 😐
