The SLV LAB encourages collaboration, and is sharing code, datasets, and tutorials. It’s an exciting development and I’m looking forward to seeing what they get up to. Had an interesting discussion today.

In linguistics, when hiring a postdoc (with some teaching load), you can definitely ask for a trial lesson on, say, the basics of morphology for first-year BA students. If you hold a PhD in linguistics, regardless of your specialty, you should know enough about morphology to do this.

If we wanted to do this in #ComputationalHumanities (or #DigitalHumanities), what might be an equivalent?
