Creating art is my coping mechanism for the state of the world. Here I have control.

And I guess that's the reason for my choice of genres. SciFi, Fantasy, Cyberpunk, I did those already before the world went nuts. SciFi offers glimpses into bettter futures and better societies. Cyberpunk often describes how heroes stand up against overwhelming odds in a dytopian future, never giving up hope. Fantasy often does something very similar. Aside from creating pretty images (at least I think they are pretty) I draw strength from it.

#TheFoundry has released #Modo3D as #free #software and provides a 10-year perpetual license for registration. This is their standard commercial software - w/o restrictions or limited in functionality.

They just released #Modo 17 at the end of last year, and all versions, from v12 on, are available.

Daz 3D ForumsModo 3D discontinued, free to download (ten year offline license)I know a lot of people use Blender in addition to a Daz or Carrara workflow but it is worth mentioning that Modo 3D has been announced to cease to exist, and the company sent out an email to users giving a farewell offline ten year license.  However the links are free for anyone to access and there is no "phoning home" or anything.  The license will expire after ten years but I guess that will be fine for many of you.  So go ahead and enhance your Daz or Carrara workflow.  NB:- Modo 16 is reckoned to be the most stable, even over version 17.
