I don't always make it to the fresh tofu spot (Wo Chong tofu in Chinatown) but when I do, it's such a treat.
The firmness and quality of the tofu they sell in the trays at the counter is different from the ones they sell at the grocery store. So many other varieties as well.
I usually combine that with a trip to the Chinese bakery, and (good) tofu is my favorite food.
When I can't make it to Chinatown, they also send trays and bags of fresh tofu to the Vietnamese and Khmer markets near me in the TL. I have to fight old ladies to get them sometimes.
