PapyrusBrigade
I like the carbon tax. And I like the GST.

Why?

Carbon tax with rebate is a good carrot and stick approach to bring about behaviour change. Especially to reduce use of fossil fuels, which not only are burning up the planet, but literally fueling wars and genocide.

GST helps catch gaps in the income tax system. Wealthy people can use tax shelters to reduce/avoid income tax. But its not as easy to avoid the GST. The #Crown has to approve all acts, and it can withdraw approval, too. Bri | 🚴📦💨✨ | 🏳️‍🌈
I calculated it once using the CBC tool, the consumer carbon tax was netting me about $45/month ($540/year).
