sorry I didn't toot more from shoreline - the bothell protest's overloading the cell towers really did a number on my phone's battery and I was down under 10%

one interesting note from shoreline: people in cars on aurora (in both my experience and those of others including my friend Sarah) were almost 100% onboard. people on the other highway crossing aurora (NE 205/State Highway 104) were still overwhelmingly in support but antis were MUCH more present.

for no particular reason other than I like taking pictures of the last remnants of things sometimes, here is the last surviving strip of the old bothell-woodinville highway just south of main street in bothell.

see the weird linear patch? that was the old divider separating the lane pairs.

the relocated roadway is to the back and left, offscreen.

RELEASE: Greater Northshore and MEGAMAP versions 1.4.5.

Three changes. All apply to the MEGAMAP area, only one applies to Greater Northshore, and even that's in Seattle proper, that being a very much needed new greenway north of Lake City.

The Montlake Lid bike/ped bridge over 520 was supposed to be finished today, and it's not. Opening ceremony is tomorrow, and I'm confident it's close enough for that, but I also suspect there may be landscaping-driven closures.

RELEASE: Greater Northshore and MEGAMAP versions 1.4.4.

It's a minor update: a correction to Seattle's map in the Greater Northshore printed area, removal of the construction warning in Bothell, and a MEGAMAP-only update to Montlake at SR-520.

I was really hoping that the Montlake Lid bike/ped bridge over 520 would be open before dropping this. But it's not, and isn't going to be open before or immediately after the election, so I've updated what I can to reflect what _is_ open.

went out #biking to check on my experiment with the sealed-edge laminated vertical flyers

it uh

it did not work xD

i mean maybe they’re less soaked through than they would’ve been? and only one showed ink movement and even it was basically still perfectly legible? so that’s something? but yeah.

then i headed to bothell to personally get eyes on the end of Sammamish River trail construction, it is indeed done

and THEN i decided fukkit it’s not raining and i rode around for a while in woodinville, here’s duck island!

MAPS RELEASE: Greater Northshore Bike Connector Map 1.4.3, and MEGAMAP 1.4.3, are on github.

Literally half this update is in Seattle and only on the MEGAMAP. I guess I maintain Seattle's bike map now. Other stuff includes what I think of as better handling of construction in Juanita and finding a pretty good sharrow neighbourhood route in Kirkland. Enjoy!
