Inspired by the historic mines @ Cerrillos Hills State Park. Got this idea on my hike & couldn’t wait to go home to create it. The cactus on the edge of the mine gives me memento mori vibes 💀🌵

I’m trying to create visual & conceptual depth on paper w/o overcomplicating it. Since I’ve been drawing every day, my skills have improved a lot & it’s rly exciting to have an image like this pop into my head & be capable of bringing it to life.
