The buildings are the Nelson Monument, shaped like a telescope, Observatory House and the Dugald Stewart Monument. This is a distant view across the city from the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens.

Just completed this etching of #Inverness.
A view of the #RiverNess waterfront from Friar’s Bridge.
Looking across Loch Lomond from Conic Hill above Balmaha on the east side of the Loch. The islands (and Conic Hill) mark the Highland Boundary Fault which is the geological boundary between the Central Lowlands and Highlands of Scotland.
210 x 300 mm brass plate etching I made using sugar lift to get the outlines of the hills and islands and then aquatinted and Spit Bite etched.

"Hobbit Hole".
A copper plate etching from about 2003-2004. This, I think, was my first attempt at #aquatint
I still remember how exciting it was to use this extremely low tech air brush, which was basically like an L-shaped straw that you had to blow through (with your mouth, not with a fancy air pump) to distribute the aquatint solution. I wonder if folks still do that today?
