Ich hatte letztens einige Hängeohrring-Rohlinge (ich stecke nicht im Schmuck-Thema und weiß leider nicht genau wie die richtige Bezeichnung ist) in meinen Bastel-Utensilien gefunden. Sie waren von einem älteren Projekt übrig und irgendwie hat es mich gestört, dass sie so lange ungenutzt blieben.

🍄 Und da ich ja gern mit Holz arbeite, habe ich einige Pilz-Ohrringe aus Holz hergestellt.

Die professionelle Schmuckherstellung überlasse ich lieber Anderen, die viel besser in der Materie stecken. Nun habe ich aber so viele, dass ich die wohl zum kleinen Preis auf dem Hexenmarkt im April in Kassel anbieten möchte. Was meint ihr? Es hat halt einfach so viel Spaß gemacht. :D

Lucky day 13 of the #ArtAdventCalendar brings us this lovely little #mushroom pendant… roughly 1” square, it features two tiny #AmanitaMuscaria shrooms nestled in the autumn grass. Original #watercolor set with UV protective epoxy resin.

I made it as one of many themed items for Fairbanks #Fungi Festival last summer, and it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever painted. I’m honestly shocked nobody has bought it yet!

The red color and its white dots make the appearance of the Amanita muscaria mushroom charming and very beautiful. Amanita muscaria is probably the oldest hallucinogenic mushroom used by humanity.
In the Nordic region, the Sami people of Lapland ate hallucinogenic mushrooms, and even fed them to their reindeer in the days after the winter solstice. The inhabitants of this region dressed in red and white to give mushrooms to the rest of the town, and the consumption was such that they thought they were flying.
