Csepp 🌢<p>Started to implement a better personal-work split on my machines. Now I no longer keep a copy of my memex on my work machine, instead I keep my laptop on my desk and switch between them with <a href="https://merveilles.town/tags/Deskflow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Deskflow</span></a> . It's not ideal, I'd rather keep only one machine powered on, but I also don't want to risk my <a href="https://merveilles.town/tags/privacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>privacy</span></a>. I'll experiment with letting the laptop go to sleep and auto-reconnect when it wakes. Maybe Deskflow could send a <a href="https://merveilles.town/tags/wakeOnLan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wakeOnLan</span></a> packet?</p>

Greg Clarke 🇨🇦 :mverified:<p>W̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶L̶A̶N̶ Wake-on-Zigbee</p><p>Maintaining Wake-on-LAN on a dual-boot Windows 10 / Ubuntu 22.04LTS system is a hassle. So I went with a simple Fingerbot solution. Now I have Wake-on-Zigbee!</p><p>By default the system boots into Ubuntu which hosts an Ollama server and does some video compression jobs (I wanted to be able to start those remotely). I only use Windows for VR gaming when I'm physically in the room and therefore can select the correct partition at boot.</p><p><a href="https://clar.ke/tags/Zigbee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Zigbee</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/Fingerbot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fingerbot</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/WakeOnLAN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WakeOnLAN</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/Windows10" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Windows10</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/DualBoot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DualBoot</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/Ollama" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ollama</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/VRGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VRGaming</span></a> <a href="https://clar.ke/tags/VR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VR</span></a></p>
