Rightwing parties #Reform and #Tories want to create division over #NetZero because it has been for some time their next culture war.

Where there is division, there are potential votes and causes to attach party loyalty to that are wider reaching than bashing migrants and trans folk.

Actually, Kemi is not saying she's 'sorry' about being the shit leader that she is, she's just sorry other people have lost their jobs for reasons which are not related to her in anyway, let her be clear....

Not a single lesson learned by either leader here, just a stubborn refusal of reality and a double down, like we haven't all seen where this goes.

Kemi Badenoch has penned an op-ed for The Telegraph in which she apologises to Tory councillors who lost their seats. “I'm deeply sorry to see so many capable, hard-working Conservative councilors lose their seats," she wrote. "They didn't deserve it - and they weren't the reason we lost.” The reason, she wrote, is that 14 years in government and a devastating election loss last July "had sapped morale and resources from Conservative headquarters” She also pointed out that they were fighting the election from the 2021 Boris Johnson, post-vaccine high But Badenoch insisted she is “making progress’, however - saying the party "has stayed united since | took over". She said these resuits showed "the scale of the work needed to rebuild trust in the Conservative Party and the importance of redoubling our efforts to show that this party is under new leadership and is doing things differently”.

And as we can see from Starmer's pledge not to change a single damn thing, just double down and push harder, the end of the Duopoly seems not so remote now.
This stubborn refusal to listen to anyone but the Right Wing Press, a gooey eyed fascination with the Fascist abomination in the White House and complete indifference to human suffering....it's not a vote winner guys!

The significance of these wins, added in with the big gains for the Lib Dems and Greens, cannot be overstated. It speaks in a serious way to anew era of politics in the UK, in which the decades-long duopoly of Labour versus Conservative is crumbling with the rise of the other parties.

The major story seems to be people deserting Labour in droves, but choosing not to transfer their vote to any left-leaning party.’

Left leaning folks are not voting…it’s apathy that Labour needs to counter, not engage in a rightwing race to bottom.
