molly clare<p>Hi sewing pattern designers? Please, please, please, LAYER YOUR PDFs. One size per layer. I've spent a whole evening manually deleting curves so that I can project one size of this thing instead of six sizes at once.</p><p>Btw, I think I'll blog <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/carosweddingjumpsuit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>carosweddingjumpsuit</span></a> process here.&nbsp; After meeting <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://ice.ch3.st/@amy" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>amy</span></a></span> and <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.coop/@cwebber" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>cwebber</span></a></span> I'm inspired to find more FOSS/crafting overlap! BunRab Voted for Harris<p>JoAnn's closing virtually all stores by April will be a problem for sewists. The other 2 big craft chains don't stock much fabric; local quilt shops generally don't stock knits, rayon, denim, gauze and other clothes-making staples. And as far as I know, JoAnn's is THE major outlet for the big pattern companies - I suspect this will be close to a death blow for Simplicity/McCalls/Butterick/Vogue. So now would be a good time for <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/sewists" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sewists</span></a> to stock up on copies of your staple <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/SewingPatterns" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SewingPatterns</span></a>.</p>

A lot of <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/sewists" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sewists</span></a> prefer to get a reliable used machine, versus paying for something that is all plastic and computerized and may not be compatible with future models. <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/sewing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sewing</span></a></p>
