She sometimes acts as a teenager or even a kid in Earthrealm.Nitara is 12.062, Sareena 7.341 (rare for Nether-Touched), Skarlet 1.006, and twins Mileena/Kitana 5.028.Datusha is... extremely ancient.Most of the human cast, the Wu Shi monks, is around 25-30.Fantasy ages aside, I often write older characters, mostly in the 30-50 range.

He does not know this fact, and estimates he's around 50 something.

The ones that do, it isn't always known to anyone else.Benjamin is the easy one. He was born in 1997, making him *roughly* 28. Ish. I don't stupidly actually give a specific year in the books and short stories as to when they happen. So, *canon*, there's a year or two of leeway either direction from our point in time. The first book was intended to be set in 2024, though, with the second occurring roughly *now* at the time I started it. But I may decide to shift that.Leland's drivers license has him at 85, iirc. I have it in a note somewhere, but I can't find it. He's older than that, and most people in universe know that, but none of the characters I have used here know how old. While "this" Leland, the one I converse with here, is from one timeline to the side of the one in the books and stories, I don't actually want to set his age firmly. Might want to play with it some, but he's definitely over a hundred. That only matters to me, as a way of keeping the book Leland from having contact with me. Which looks absolutely nuts when I look at it on screen. But, I'll never inject myself into anything I write like that, so there it is.Now Zaphod and Tennille, their book versions, are in their early thirties. Never felt a need to set down an exact date/age. But they existed in other forms before I ever wrote anything at all, and those versions would be a little younger, their late twenties. They began their adventuring life a little younger, and reached their rough situation in life a bit sooner as a result. I had them in their very early twenties in 2019 originally, then moved it around some as I shifted the setting.The rest of my little playground includes people, entities, and things that are much older. In terms of what's shown up on a page/screen for others to read, I think the oldest one is right around 10,000 years old. There's another that hails from around 3k years ago, then you get into the ones that are around Leland's age, plus or minus a few decades. The ones I've only used in ttrpg settings aren't really relevant, unless someone is curious, and I doubt that lol.

Anna Saultron642. How old are some of your characters?Terran's in Star Ryde live up to a 150 years if everything goes well. 120-130 is more normal 1. case got to 200 & people are still unsure how. Thus it's harder for people of our time to pinpoint an exact age of a person while in universe most people do not really care, the age range on board the Ghoz'Tarc starts with 20 - goes up to 65. A lot of Terran people prefer to not work on the military after their 65 year of life because even with all advances it's still a hard job to do. That said brass often is composed from older soldiers & an unwritten rule seems to be that you have to be past your 30es to enter.Kira is around 35, her closest friends on board minus Arkham are all in the range of 30-40 ish.Arkham is 25-30.XO Jenkins is in the same range as Kira. XO Troika is around his 50. Dr. Waberie & Dr. Kaiden are in their 30.Ash as the ships AI is merely 6 years old. Life is too busy, I rarely have time to use the muse as a hobby tool.That said, sometimes I hit a wall in terms of where to go next. One of three things can happen: -Reread the story from an earlier point, and see the path forward. -Shunt back to another project (possibly even one decades old) to let my subconscious deal with it. -Turn to my overloaded reading list, and thus get one of those two results.

I don't really believe in inspiration--not that I'm telling anyone else they can't or shouldn't--so instead, I think of it like an intellectual task. When this is just not possible, I at least search out of change of scenery, even if that means walking down one street over.
