DigiVoyager<p>Some time ago, I was told by someone to watch Paranorman because it fit my vibe, I could see why. Today I re-watched it.</p><p>I had even more fun watching it this time. Some interesting themes about the long-lasting scars of childhood trauma, the grief of losing a beloved grandparent, and how simply misunderstood or different people can become outcasts. The Socel Director<p>For <a href="https://socel.net/tags/pridemonth" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>pridemonth</span></a> we're celebrating <a href="https://socel.net/tags/LGBTQ" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LGBTQ</span></a> :flagProgress: <a href="https://socel.net/tags/animation" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>animation</span></a> and this week, it's <a href="https://socel.net/tags/film" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>film</span></a>.</p><p>Films have a LOT less LGBTQ characters for a number of reasons, so they tend to be rare.</p><p>ParaNorman was the first to feature an LGBTQ character AND make that clear in the film when Mitch refers to his boyfriend.
