Then imagine being so stubborn you'd fight an $80 speeding ticket all the way to the Supreme Court, and lose most of the way.</p><p>Aucklander Peter Prescott racked up $34,000 in legal fees and was declared bankrupt when he couldn’t pay them.</p><p>The lessons? Don't speed in 50kph zones and don't pursue a hopeless case through the courts. Bob LeFridge :tinoflag:<p>Lake Hood outside Ashburton has been closed due to cyanobacteria. It's a man-made lake in a development offering luxury lakefront properties.
